Physiotherapy App Offers Free Access to Pain Management
Press release: 2020-03-30
Right now, people all over the world are forced to put their normal lives on hold as we fight to contain the Coronavirus / COVID-19. Unfortunately, this means that in many places, non-critical treatment is on hold. A young Danish company is making its contribution to help us all get through the crisis, by offering free access to treatment of pain in all areas of the body.
Every year, in Western Countries, an estimated 10%-20% of all adults see either a physiotherapist or a chiropractor. To contain the Coronavirus / COVID-19, health care providers, including physiotherapists and chiropractors, are in a state of emergency. That means they only see patients who require critical care, or that they change to video consultations whenever possible. That’s why a young Danish startup is now offering free access to its recognized physical rehabilitation app.
“It is a very serious situation and we would like to help out as much as we can. We’re doing it both for the many people who need treatment, but also for the doctors, physiotherapists and chiropractors who are at the moment finding it very difficult to treat their patients. We have decided to offer our help, frankly because we can. We’ll continue for as long it’s necessary, and we can afford it."
So says Ulrik Borch, co-founder and CEO of Injurymap. Injurymap will be offering new users free access to their pain management app for as long as the clinics remain closed. The app usually costs 4 USD a month. Ulrik Borch continues:
“For the time being, new users will have free access to the app until May 31. But we will keep an eye on the situation, and if necessary, we will expand the free access.”
